Amazon Set to Create New Jobs With Virginia Beach Fulfillment Center

More than 1,000 new jobs are coming to Virginia Beach with the construction of a new Amazon robotics fulfillment center. The 630,000-square-foot facility will be located in the Oceana area and is expected to start operations in 2025.
The facility will be Amazon's 14th fulfillment and sorting center in Virginia and the 17th delivery station. It will create more than 1,000 new jobs, including Supply Chain Manager, Regional Manager, and Area Manager positions. Amazon is hiring for a variety of roles, including operations, robotics, and customer service.
The new fulfillment center will help Amazon meet the growing demand for its products and services in the Hampton Roads area. It will also support Amazon's commitment to providing fast and efficient delivery to customers.
The construction of the new fulfillment center is expected to begin in late 2022 and be completed in 2025. Amazon is investing more than $200 million in the project.
