Italy held by Croatia in Euro 2024 opener

Goalless draw sees both teams share the points in Group C

Croatia and Italy played out a goalless draw in their opening match of Euro 2024 in Glasgow on Sunday.

Zlatko Dalic's men started the brighter of the two sides and had the better of the chances in the early stages, with Mateo Kovacic and Andrej Kramaric both going close.

Italy gradually grew into the game and began to create chances of their own, with Nicolo Barella and Ciro Immobile both testing Dominik Livakovic in the Croatia goal.

The second half was a more even affair, with both teams having chances to win the game.

However, neither side could find a breakthrough, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
