The United States has been a dominant force in Olympic basketball, winning 19 medals since the first Games were held in 1936. The Americans have won 16 gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals. The United States is the only country to have won more than one gold medal in Olympic basketball.

Team USA will be looking to add to its medal count at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. The Americans will play their first exhibition game in Las Vegas on July 10th. They will then travel to Tokyo for the Olympics, which begin on July 23rd. Team USA is scheduled to play their first game on July 25th.
