Lillo, who is currently the assistant manager at Manchester City, lost his father, Juan Manuel Izquierdo, on January 10. Ancelotti worked with Lillo at Real Madrid during the 2014-15 season and described him as “a great professional and a great person.”
Sven-Göran Eriksson
Eriksson, the former England manager, lost his wife, Nancy Dell'Olio, on January 18. Ancelotti and Eriksson have known each other for many years, having worked together at Lazio in the early 1990s.
